Dan Hagberg – Head Pastor

Dan brings to our ministry 18 years of executive leadership experience in the corporate world and 14 years of ministry experience first as an assistant youth pastor in Minneapolis, and then at Meadow Creek Church in Andover where he has served as worship director, outreach coordinator, director of adult education / small groups and pastor of pastoral care.  He has also served as chaplain for Volunteers of America for over 10 years and is currently chaplain at River Oaks of Anoka.

He holds a MBA and a Ph.D. in business and a Th.D. in Theology.

Dan and the love of his life Becky, who met in a Bible college lunch line, make their home in Ham Lake.

His passion is that people, wherever they find themselves in life, come to know that God loves them and has a special purpose for their lives that can only be found in a personal relationship with Jesus.

Sam Watts – Worship Director

Sam has been playing music for over 15 years. He started off on the drums in 6th grade and played in his school’s jazz, pep, and marching band. In high school, he picked up the guitar and began learning notes and chords, and soon was fulfilling every high schooler’s dream…playing in his own rock and roll band.

In college, Sam stepped back behind the drum set and played 2 years for Northwestern College’s traveling praise and worship band, Two Cents. After college, Sam picked his guitar back up and joined his cousin’s group, 21st Century Music, for their Hong Kong tour. The month long tour gave Sam countless stories and memories, and upon returning state-side, he settled into playing praise and worship music again for area churches.

When Sam isn’t playing music, he can be found helping his wife with their three boys (Olaf, Luther and Gunnar), or working with his father on their crazy business ideas. But when he truly has free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, watching movies, and visiting the local race car tracks.

Becky Hagberg

Becky is a preacher’s kid and grew up in ministry. Along with over 20 years of professional experience, Becky has served in a wide variety of ministries including: worship leader, working with children and youth, director of women’s ministries, and oh yes, as “Sally” in puppet ministry.

Becky’s education includes a B.A. in music and a B.S. in communications

One of Becky’s greatest gifts is a tender, caring heart for God and for people.
